Music SHow

Last Friday we had a group of musicians  come to our school at around 10:00ᴬᴹ...  They started the performance with the flute although  my favourite performance through out the whole entire show was definitely the Saxophone and the Bongo drums because it had a lot of beat in it and my friend next to me started clapping along to the song then everyone in the school did too minutes later... At the end of the performance everyone left inspired and wanting to join music exactly like them!!

End Of Term Party

On the last Thursday before the holidays we had a party, each person had to bring a plate of food and I had to bring fruit kebabs!! There was also a whole day planned out for us with loads of games the whole day was split into four quarters and after each quarter we had a food break with  home baking, chips, lollies  and lots more! For the games I played soccer each time and won all the games except one and I scored eight goals or two every game but the only bad part was when the day came to an end!!    

Cross Country

Yesterday on Tuesday we did cross country I was looking forward to this as I always do because I'm a confident runner well it at least I think that!! When I got there Mr Brunton explained that once we had finished our race the top ten people would go to Mrs Nickleson and we would tell her our name, last -name, whaunau and our room number because we would be on the inter-schools team! Then he told us to go line up in our whaunau groups and get ready for the race. I did my own stretches for certain muscles because the other warm ups and stretches weren't really stretches they were only warm ups! Mr Whitman said ready, set  GO!!! Then Liam Barry clapped two bricks and we were off the first main obstacle was the hill then  the forest here is a picture of me in the forest. (Im first in the black UnderArmour top).

I ended up winning and I got a sausage and a Juicie I was really proud!!! I also made the Inters-school team!!!

Ripper Rugby

One day near the afternoon on a very nice and sunny day a very enthusiastic coach called Ryon came to teach us ripper rugby.
To start off we got a belt with Velcro and we attached two rips to it, Rips are little rectangle pieces of material and when someone pulls it off and yells "RIP!" You have to pass the ball and put it back on. 

First off when Ryon got there he told us the two out lines were the shark pool (Right) And the polar bears (Left).  He told us this because we don't want to run there.  Then he told us that the two trie lines were McDonald's (left ford). and Burger King (Right back). Because we do want to run there so we can score.

After that we played bull rush but with rips I won that so then we had another round and since I had won I had to be the Rippa :( it ended within 10 minutes it ended and there wasn't enough time for much else so we left and said thanks to Ryon and took our belts of then the other class came and that was Rippa!!!

Mighty Maui Puppet Show

I couldn't wait! Today was the day that it happened I would get to see the Mighty Maui Puppet Show I had never watched this show before so I for one did not know what to expect. Infact it was all I could think about all morning! When it was time to go we all lined up ready and I hoped that it was going to be good!

We walked  around the block and into the hall and sat down along with all the other classes. We watched the two hosts of the show as they set up it was very interesting!! Once they had finished they sang an intro like song to us and the main words were... "Mighty Maui". After that they explained it would be a musical play and we could sing along with them! So far so good! Next they said we'd be able to use the 70 puppets they had even better! 

Fitness

  Last week on a Wednesday we had fitness with Mr Brunton I had won twice before so I had to have a twenty second penalty!! This I thought was unfair but better still challenging!!  I couldn't wait for it to start! It was me versus three other people and we are all good athletes the competition was fierce!! 3 2 1 GO!!!! The others were off and away and I wasn't even on my way.  18 19 20!!! Finally I thought...  I raced faster and faster as fast as I could go then finally! I got off the playground, but two others still leaded ahead of me I swung through the final bars and raced to the picnic table however, they were still in-front of me by a meter!! "Third place" shouted Mr Brunton!! That's pretty good for me I thought especially putting into mind that I had a 20 second penalty! "Better luck next time" I said to 4th.  

The Brain

Last week we learnt about the brain. This is a picture of some of the main things inside the brain.

The blue part is called the Cerebum and it helps you think and speak. 

The red part is called the Cerabellum and it helps you move.

The orange part is called the Prefrontal Cortex and it helps you plan and make decisions.

The yellow part is called the Anygadala and it controls your emotions.

The green bit is called the Hippocampus and it helps store and find memories.

My first day

Today was the day, school had returned!! Finally, i'd be able to see  my friends again!!
As I drove in the car I started to relies the time 8:49 and I was still in the car! Finally we made it at 9:00 right on the dot, I trampled my sister in the rush out the car, and ran as fast as I could to get out to school as I was late!! Finally I got there to my Hogwarts!!
